I figured I'd try to make this a semi-regular feature and call this the "Nulldomain Movie Review" (subject to change). The first movie I reviewed was Chronicles of Riddick, aka Pitch Black 2. Kick ass movie, and great as a first, or a sequel. Now, we shall look at everyones favorite feline comic cat, Garfield.
The movie is about Garfield, and, pretty much just about Garfield. Almost all of the movie is through his eyes, and leads the viewer into understanding just who Garfield is and the life he lives. The movie also goes into how Odie came into the life of Jon and Garfield; through Garfields vet (aka Jennifer Love Hewitt).
There isn't a whole lot to say about the movie really. It's quite simply about Garfield coming to acceptance with Odie and saving him from a big bad guy. Regardless of a semi-weak plot, and not a whole lot to the movie, its is cute and enjoyable. All in all, a good family comedy.
In terms of some sort of rating.. I suppose I should standardize on something if I plan on doing reviews and such... Stars are overused in my opinion, and I'd like to use something original, and unique, so we'll use 'percentage of a CD'. a low percentage will stand for it sucks, a whole CD will means, 'dude! this movie r0x0rs!!one!11' or something... and so... I shall give Garfield a rating of 90% for family appeal, 85% for general comedy and such, and a 50% for overall personal opinion. It was enjoyable, was fun, but not the best movie ever. If you like 'Garfield' the comic, see the movie. And thats about the best I can recommend. Cheers! (for lazagna...)
