Here we are for the third iteration of the nulldomain movie review segment of the nulldomain blog. I just returned from seeing Spiderman 2 and decided a review thingy would be best while the movie is still fresh in my mind. And so here it goes....
This movie takes place somewhere near 2 years after Spiderman. Peters concentration and mindset is weekening and is "loosing" his powers as a result. And that is a big part of the movie; Peter struggles to see who he is and what he has to do. Sometimes you have to give up what you want most, even your dreams because of the responsibility you have.
I won't give away any critical plot points, mainly cause thats no fun for you. But, what I will say is, if you're a comic book fan/spiderman fan, you should see the movie. If you liked the first, you'll probably like this one. There are some interesting moments where the script could've been better, but well done overall. And, they ended the movie in a way that should make an awesome Spiderman 3 (with the hobgoblin).
Basically, Spiderman 2 felt like the middle of a movie; the beginning was good, but felt like any other sequel (ie, you need to see the first to get the most out of it), but was full of comedy, action, and all that good stuff that makes a good movie. And, as I said, the ending was wide open, and really lacked a true ending, unlike the first. But, regardless of the holes and subtleties, it was very well done and enjoyable to watch.
And.. as you can see, I really suck at reviews :) But I'll continue doing them anyways, even if they do really suck.
See the movie, enjoy, and if you didn't like it, let me know ;)
