I never admitted to being a committed blogger. I'll still never admit it. Heck, the word blog still annoys the hell out of me. Maybe thats why I don't post enough. Doesn't matter...
So, some of you may be wondering what the hell I've been up to since the last post was, well, posted. Some of you could probably care less. Now you get to find out. Lucky you.
First, semester numero two completed on April 25th of 2008. It went alright, I suppose. I essentially failed both math classes though, and thats pretty much just not cool. Four classes behind now... I'll make it up one way or another though. Regardless, I'll admit I was extremely burnt out after that semester. Well, both semesters. I took a few days to relax then jumped into full time work. So, yeah, been busy. My list of crap I want to do really has not decreased, and in fact, has increased. Such is my life.
After semester two ended, I second-guessed myself. I wondered if I was really doing the right thing. Math was tough for me, which left a strange and uneasy feeling in my stomach. Math was usually one my stronger and better classes. But after having some time off, and LOTS of time for self reflection, I'm confident I'm on the right path and I'm dedicated to stay with it to the end. Even if I do end up with $60,000 or more in student loans.
Enough about school, its starting again in less then a month. On to more exciting news. Well, more news at least.
Lets see, multi-touch stuff. I still need to build my display/table/whatever. I have a ton of LEDs. I have a projector, and I have a semi-decent camera and lens to use. I even have the plexi to use. I unfortunately do not have the time, room or resources to get the damn thing together and working. One of these days, I swear. Next up, Openmoko. Yup, I bought one. Awesome little gadget that needs lots of work still. I'll talk more about that later, as there is much to be said.
Multi-touch and openmoko stuff has dominated my mind for most of the summer. I also want to start building robots. I need money for those though. Oh, and solar. I have this dream of eventually converting to 100% solar at some point in, oh, say, the next decade. Hopefully sooner though. I've also started dabbling with Python again, and, completely unrelated, the canvas object thats been added to some HTML spec (is it 5? something like that). Cool stuff. Want to do more, need more time though.
Anyways, last but, hardly least, back to school stuffs. Sept 2nd is the first day of class, and this semester, for the seven or so of us Comp. Eng. majors get to build some robotic toy thing. I think I want to build something that I can control with my freerunner using bluetooth and the accelerometers. We'll see though, the school is weird about code-ownership, so I may have to do that stuff somewhat differently. I'll post more details later.
As you can see, possibly, my mind is a bit scattered, and these are only some of the ideas floating around in my gray matter. I still need a decent todo/task organizer app. Perhaps I'll build one that will integrate with the freerunner. Make my life easier. Only time will tell I suppose.
Ok, enough rambling. More to come soon. Hopefully tomorrow, we'll see how things go.

I don't know what you want
Tue 08/05/08 by AnonymousI don't know what you want your to-do list to look/act like, but have you looked at Todoist? That's what I use (when work isn't sucking the soul right out of me), and I've found it very useful for my worldview.
